RADIANT AND AMBIENT HEAT PROTECTION Newtex’ s 750 and 850 Series Suits are insulated to protect personnel working in close proximity to extreme temperatures or fired, and have an aluminized outer shell and an aluminized vapor barrier to protect against high pressure steam, vapor, chemicals, and radiant temperatures to 2000° F ( 1093° C) . The 750 Series Suit can be used in emergency operations, and has two layers of bulk insulation to support ambient temperatures to 550° F ( 288° C) . The 850 Series Suit is designed for use in repair or maintenance operations such as in hot ovens, and has three layers of bulk insulation to support ambient temperatures to 800° F ( 420° C) . Material A. 750 Series: 5 layer construction includes: Aluminized Zetex® outer shell, lightweight aluminized vapor barrier, two layers of 1-inch fi berglass insulation, neoprene-coated fl ame-resistant cotton lining. B. 850 Series: 6 layer construction includes: Aluminized Zetex® outer shell, aluminized vapor barrier, three layers of 1-inch fi berglass insulation, fl ame-resistant cotton lining. 4. Temperature Rating Short duration ambient heat up to 550° F ( 288° C) for 750 Series or up to 800° F ( 427° C) for 850 Series. Radiant heat to 2000° F ( 1093° C) . 5. Construction A. Hood: Built-in shell for structural support. Ratchet-adjustable hard cap with speedy clip for support. 750 Series: Full shoulder length drape and adjustable underarm straps. 6” x 9½ ” gold window and aluminum retainer. 850 Series: Inner drape seals and adjustable underarm straps. Hardened aluminum window frame with 2 tempered glass lenses and 2 gold plated lenses for thermal protection. Designed for use with an air mask. B. Coat: Double storm fl y front. Flame seal with drawstring at coat bottom. Breathing Apparatus accommodation. C. Pants: High waist with 2” wide adjustable suspenders and adjustment straps on leg bottoms. D. Boots: Designed to fi t over work shoes. Adjustment straps and ZetexPlus® binding. 750 Series has leather-insulated sole. 850 Series has wooden, anti-skid sole, heavily insulated boot cover with zipper and storm fl y, and inside toe and ankle adjustment straps. E. Mitts: ZetexPlus® palm and thumb. Aluminized back and cuff. One piece coverall styles ( 760 and 860 Series) also available. 6. Size and Weight A. 750 Series Suit Weight: 36 lbs ( 16.3 kg) . Available in the following sizes: Medium ( 42” - 44” chest, 42” waist) Large ( 46” - 48” chest, 46” waist) X Large ( 50” - 52” chest, 50” waist) B. 850 Series Suit Weight: 43 lbs ( 19.5 kg) . One size fi ts all. Custom sizes available for additional charge. Standard: Made from Zetex® and ZetexPlus® fabrics, which meet UL 214/ NFPA 701, MIL-C-20079, MIL-I-24244, NRC 1.36, and European EN407.
